The Story

Gabriella, a baroness of a highly deathly family. To keep her familys nobility status, she must attend the kingdom's war university. It is the law. Yet she does not want to become another pawn in the kingdowms games like her father before her.

The war university has a new polished entrance, yet its walls are old and tainted with blood of students and soldierd of invading armies. Student body composed largely of people who want to gain power, or keep it. It also has things growing in the shadows that aim to tear it's walls and the whole kingdom down.

Gothic romance fantasy about inheritance of title, of curse of gifts, of the kind of family that leaves marks on everything, including the people who survive it.

The World

A kingdom with titles. Estates. And a great deal of classified nepotism when it comes to magic.

The kingdom is old enough to have accumulated a great deal of institutional memory. And to have decided, with some precision, which parts of it to keep. The war university is a formal institution with a very good reputation, as in with violence you gain status.
What helps to gain power is magic abilities called Understandings. They are highly secretive and valuable, and msot of them cost the souls of their users.

Dark romantic fantasy in the tradition of shadow abilities and secrets that must stay buried.

The Game

A card game, a century before the shadows fell.

Get to know the world by playing a card-game-styled story set 100 years before the events of Garden of Shadows. You will lead a squad of mages into battles that defined the fate of the kingdom and built it as we know it today.

Collect new mages and units for your collection, or jump into a quick skirmish to squash a computer enemy and earn rewards that way. After beating story mode, you'll be granted access to a deck and card builder, so you can ready yourself for your own tailored campaigns on the campaign editor side.
